- What is Shropshire Oktoberfest?
Shropshire Oktoberfest is a two-day event in Shrewsbury Quarry, where we bring together over 180 beers, lagers, and ciders, as well as gin, cocktails, and fizz. We have tasty street food to accompany your drinks, and for entertainment, we have a huge live music stage with incredible local bands, a silent disco, Carpool Karaoke, and a Comedy Club on Saturday.
So basically, it's one big party!

Please be aware that this is an event aimed at adults where alcohol is consumed so behaviour and language may not be suitable for children.

We currently do not offer blue light, NHS, military or any other form of discount.
- What do VIP tickets include?
Your VIP Tickets include entry to the festival, a souvenir reusable cup, and entry into the Start Tech VIP Area where there is additional seating (We cannot guarantee a chair for everyone at all times), VIP access to the Silent Disco, and posher toilets than standard portaloos that are available to everyone else.
- Can I bring my dog?
No, sorry. Shropshire Oktoberfest has loud music, and people consuming alcohol on site, it just wouldn't be safe for your four-legged friends. Only assistance dogs will be allowed into our festival.
- Do you have bag restrictions in place?
Your safety is our top priority and we've put in place necessary measures to maximise public safety. All festival go-ers will be searched on arrival, so please be patient if the queue is a little longer than normal.
If you wish to bring a bag to Shropshire Oktoberfest, please ensure it is no bigger than an A4 piece of paper, 8.27inches x 11.69inches.
- Can I bring my own food & drink?
Yes, you can absolutely bring in your own food and drink, however, due to safety regulations, you CANNOT bring any alcohol or sharps (eg. cheese knives or drinking horns) into our festival.
- What can't I bring to Shropshire Oktoberfest?
You are not able to bring any sharp items, drinking horns, drones, alcohol, unauthorised or professional film/video equipment, bags larger than A4, umbrellas larger than 30cm, animals (with the exception of assistance dogs), or any item that could be considered for the use of a weapon. Our security team will be operating bag searches on arrival, and any item that is not suitable will be confiscated to allow entry.
- How do I get there?
Shrewsbury Quarry is right in the heart of Shrewsbury Town Centre with excellent transport links.
Shrewsbury Bus Station runs regular services in and out of the town, with the bus station being a 10-minute walk to the Quarry. Please check timings before you travel.
For convenient and responsible travel, hop on the train. Shrewsbury Quarry is located just a 15-minute walk away from Shrewsbury Railway station. Trainline works with 270 rail and coach companies to offer their customers travel to thousands of destinations in and across 45 countries in Europe.

For tourist information and accommodation, have a look at www.originalshrewsbury.co.uk. Or if you fancy camping... the West Mid Showground is a camping and caravanning site, just a 10-minute walk away from the time centre.
